10/15/05 WebUpdate3 Guinea Pig Trials a great success
Our recent promotion asking for volunteers to be Guinea Pigs during the production of the WebUpdate3 systems was so swamped we had to cap the number of applicants!
9/22/05 - Parameters list to be finalized for WebUpdate3
The new WebUpdate3 system is due to be released early 2006. Apart from the already known ideas, such as the 'theme' approach, and additions of a Weblog system, full Image Gallery capability and Event Calendar system, until now we have been working more with the collection of ideas and suggestions (thank you to our clients for their inputs).
The suggestions stage has now been closed and we will be sifting through these and deciding the actual list of standard elements to be included in WebUpdate3.
Stay Tuned..
7/12/05 - New Look Admin Panel Introduced
Because the WebUpdate2 systems are customized to the client, some of these can end up with so many custom functions (like 'attention grabbers', 'banner management', 'hints management', etc.) that they can become confusing for a novice user. With that in mind, the admin panel on the newer WebUpdate2 sites has been modified to include Instant Help, which will enable administrators to see actual examples of how their changes affect the site.
6/11/05 - Themes now on all future WebUpdate2 & 3 sites
The 'themes' approach for The Store of Stores has now been developed, and looks and functions great! After consideration, this method is now going to be a standard development protocol for all future WebUpdate2 (and then WebUpdate3) sites, including those now in early stages of development.
Using this approach, we can literally change the look, color scheme, and feel of a WebUpdate2 in about 2 days. This will be most especially useful for clients who want special 'holiday' themes, they can be created ahead of time, and literally 'swapped out' with a flick of a switch in the admin panel.
3/17/05 - Moving towards the next generation
With a client 'The Store of Stores' requesting different 'themes' for various areas of their site, they have volunteered to become the test-bed for elements of the new WebUpdate3 model we are hoping to launch Jan 1, 2006.
Using the 'theme' approach, we know the WebUpdate3 sites will be more modular in their approach, it will even be able to choose and 'plug-in' extra modules, such as calendars, forums, etc., almost 'on-the-fly'
2/08/05 - Well, that was a success
Thank you to to the clients who made the Birthday Offer an amazing success, with all 5 offer sites signed within the first week !
2/01/05 - Happy Birthday!
We are now entering our 9th year in business, and so we are offering 5 WebUpdate2 sites at the reduced price of only $3999.
1/17/05 - WebUpdate2 Price Drop!
In appreciation of the success of WebUpdate2 in 2004, we have now reduced the price from $5999 to ONLY $4999 for the basic Brochure version of WebUpdate2.
1/8/05 - Great Start to the Year!
Thanks to our recent advertising campaign, last week we signed a new client a day!
1/1/05 - Happy New Year!
We would like to welcome all our visitors and clients a happy and prosperous 2005.
12/5/04 - Team Addition - Welcome Aboard!
We would like to welcome the extremely talented Elena to our team. As you can see HERE, we know that her particular bold style will bring even more appeal to our portfolio.
11/28/04 - 'Another one please'
Our client 'Chesapeakeplastsurg.com' loves the WebUpdate2 system so much that they have purchased a 2nd domain and want us to create another, almost identical WebUpdate2 site for them!
11/23/04 - OOPS Google did it again! - FirstPage update worked flawlessly.
The Google overhaul we suspected as coming a few weeks ago happened last week.
The changes were complex, but with a lot of caffeine and a great deal of hard work, we managed to rewrite the core FirstPage algorythms and get them distributed within 2 days.
All our FirstPage coded sites are now back to where they were in the top 10, and around 60% have even shown an almost 200% indexed page improvement!
11/22/04 - WebUpdate2 Improvements
At the request of a client, the Contact Us system has been revised for this and all future versions of WebUpdate2. Now users can add themselves directly to the email list when sending an email via 'Contact Us', rather than having to go to 'Join Our Email List'.
Both user and WebUpdate2 site owner will also get more customized emails, confirming the information submitted, IP address, whether or not they chose to be added, and how to be removed if they require.
10/19/04 - Google is up to something (again)
There have been some extremely odd results coming up from Google over the last week or so. This would seem to indicate that there is another Google overhaul in the works.
We are watching closely, and preparing to update the FirstPage system as soon as it happens. This will be a very good test of the new 'centralized update' method we instituted a few months ago.
9/7/04 - WebUpdate2 Improvement
Another change at the request of a client.
Now WebUpdate2 'Gallery Pages' create a 2nd, fixed-size larger version of the uploaded images, and have auto resizing popup windows.
This was because some clients were uploading direct from high resolution Digital Cameras and, as such the 'larger versions' were extremely large.
8/30/04 - Ok, now WE'RE with the times!
The new WebUpdate2 based Internetmark site is launched.
What with moves, expansions, and intensively developing WebUpdate2 sites for our clients, we finally had a small breathing space to work on the Internetmark site itself and bring that up to the WebUpdate2 system too.
Hope you like it.
7/15/04 - WebUpdate2 Page System overhaul
Previously WebUpdate2 'Gallery Pages' were under their own section in the menu system.
We have now overhauled that design, and now 'Normal' and 'Gallery' pages can be intermixed within the same menu item.
This gives much more flexibility to clients, especially if there is a gallery related to a particular event / service / subject.
6/10/04 - New Team Addition - Welcome Aboard!
Because of the popularity of the WebUpdate2 sites, we have taken on a new designer and developer Andrei.
He has many years experience in both design and database site development. As you can see from his work HERE, he has a very unique 'Corporate' design style which perfectly compliments our existing team.
6/4/04 - FirstPage Overhaul Improvement
The FirstPage (search engine placement system) at the heart of WebUpdate2 has been revised to a more centralized methodology.
Following the Google 'Florida' (Nov. 2003) and 'Georgia' (Feb. 2004) updates, this means that we can now change ALL FirstPage driven WebUpdate2 sites from a central location.
The algorythm changes will then be distributed to all WebUpdate2 sites, meaning that the top ten results can be recovered literally in days.
5/26/04 - WebUpdate2 Improvement
WebUpdate 2 now has a 'Backup' option in the Admin Panel, which backs up the site database and emails it to the client.
Even though we have never had a WebUpdate2 site go down, this enables us to recover a site should something ever go wrong.
5/1/04 - We've Moved!!!
The move is finally complete. After weeks of redevelopment, rewiring, networking and building out, we have finally moved into the new offices.
You can see the gallery of the move here
3/19/04 - WebUpdate2 Improvement
The WebUpdate2 text entry and format system has been replaced with a variation of the old WebUpdate(1) WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface.
This has streamlined the 'add/modify page' admin page process considerably, removing several 'preset' buttons and check-boxes.
3/1/04 - We're going to move!
A new, larger office space has become available in the building, and so we will be remodeling that space to our new offices over the next few weeks.
2/14/04 - WebUpdate2 Feature Addition
WebUpdate2 now has a 'file upload' capability, so that clients can upload files which can then be viewed/downloaded by visitors.
This is useful for forms, PDFs and other text files, and even animations / videos.
The uploaded file(s) can be attached to any page on the site, and links created on the fly.
1/17/04 - New Team Addition - Welcome Aboard!
Coinciding with the launch of the new 'WebUpdate2' sites, we have taken on Morgan de Ruyter. As you can see from examples of her work HERE, Morgan is an extraordinary talent and has over 10 years experience in Web Design. She is also a very talented freehand artist and animator.
1/2/04 - WebUpdate2 Launched!
After almost 2 years developing the system, our own WebUpdate2 site management system was unveiled today to incredible response.
Following our advertising of the launch, we already have 5 new clients signed to the system.
